Bob Docherty competition concludes with great games
News Date 28/03/2024
Todays matches in the Bob Docherty competition saw some of the best football in the history of the competition.  Great credit to the girls and coaches for reaching such heights.
In the first game between England and Scotland, the Scots opened the scoring in the second minute with a super strike from Orla Burn.  England replied two minutes later when Emily Giddins netted.   That was it as far as open play goals were concerned and penalties ensued which England edged 5-4.

The second game between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland was equaly tight.  Eva Loftus scored a superb effort in the 15th minute and the rest of the game was closely fought but without any further goals.

Overall, the best Bob Docherty yet with some outstanding displays.  Keep an eye on these girls for the not too distant future.
