Scotland came out on top in their encounter with Northern Ireland this evening primarily due to the excellent display from goalkeeper Liam Russell.  Goals from Lucas Stenhouse and Ben Lamont saw the home team take a first half lead but a prompt response from Aaron Wightman shortly after the restart saw the lead reduced.  Lewis Gibson restored the two goal margin for the Scots in the 57th minute but a very late goal from Odhran McCart made for a tense finish.
