The teams and the supporters finally turned up at the same ground at The Rock, home to the Cefn Druids, for the first of todays closing fixtures. Grady McDonnall headed home to give the Republic the lead after 4 minutes, a dream start.  Northern Ireland battled back and were rewarded with a goal after 27 minutes from Glen McCourt. All level at half time.  The Republic regained the initiative after 52 minutes when Micheal Noonan beat Milo Beimers in the NI goal. Billy O'Neil added the killer blow in the 73rd minute to give the Republic the bragging rights.
Deserved winners of the 2023 \Victory Shield with a 100% record.

In the second game Wales finished on a high securing a 2-0 win over Scotland.  Goals from Jayden Lienou after 21 minutes and Tom Deardon (51) secured a second place finish for the hosts this year.
